News - Crime & Courts: Spate of shootings 'could be gang warfare': "Police are on high alert for a rise in gang-related crimes after three shootings in Bonteheuwel in less than 24 hours, a week after a deadly gang shootout during a soccer match at nearby Hanover Park. Bishop Lavis police spokesperson Captain Marie Louw said two of the three incidents were believed to be gang-related. In one incident, in the early hours of Saturday, a man was shot dead in the driver's seat of his car while he was listening to music with a friend. The two men had parked in front of a house in Rooihout Street, Bonteheuwel."
